TAKE A LOOK: Thibaut OG Mod đ„
THIBAUT OG MOD AVAILABLE NOW!!! đ„
This beautifully designed OG mod pays homage to many of the things that have influenced Thibaut's kendama journey over the last fifteen years.
We asked Thibaut to give us a breakdown of what his mod is all about. Here's what he had to say đđŒ
Top tracking dot: "This is a reference to the original French Facebook kendama group called French Touch Kendama that has been the beginning of what kendama is in France now. I started this group with 2 friends and we were just adding kendama players we met there to stay in touch, sadly facebook is kinda dead now, but the OG ones know ahah."
Tracking stripe: "The rollerblading wheel used as tracking is a reference to me knowing about kendama through  the rollerblade community, like literally the first ever video of kendama I saw was Kendama USA Edit 1 featuring mainly rollerblading pros!"
Tama colors & design: "The light blue color is a reference to the OG light blue Ozora that has been a kendama that I played way too much back in the day. The camo stripe is a reference to the Bape camo design. I love camo and when Bape opened their first store in France they used a French color camo, and it was matching the whole design so fuck yeah!"
On the ken: "T-Bow is the only way I can get American people to pronounce my name correctly, and Billy is my kendama nickname. There are 15 tally marks on this design because I've been through 15 years of kendama. I went for engraving this because it reminds me of when you used those symbols on trees with a knife (the kendama is my "marked tree" kinda). The little dude on the handle is there because it has been my graffiti doodle/kendama signature forever. This time he has 3 eye because he is KROMed up ya know?"
The shape: "And about the shape, I've always been mix & matching all of my setups in a quest to find the perfect kendama to me, but when I say mix and match I donât even joke! I put the sarado of one brand to the sword of another brand with no fucks given đ I got my hand on an old SLAYDAWG 2 and realized how good the base cup felt in my hand. The feeling is perfect, and itâs big enough for a lighthouse to sit perfectly. I had to find a solution for a new sarado to feat this SD2 sword. When the SD3 came out I tested the sarado and was like 'Damn! I found it!'"
Congrats to Thibaut on 15 years of kendama! We're excited to mark this special milestone with his own OG kendama. Check it out here.
